New Balance of World Power/ Open Lines

About the show

Experienced and internationally known expert on national security and foreign affairs, Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis believes the United States and her allies are locked in a prophetic global confrontation on many fronts — a new kind of dual Cold War with the Russians and Chinese. He joined guest host Richard Syrett to discuss the indicators of this new conflict and possible final showdown.

According to Maginnis, Russia and China are actively collaborating against the U.S., as witnessed by a recent meeting between the defense ministers of each country and an agreement to jointly head a commission on military technology. "They're weaponizing everything against us," he said, noting how the two nations use political coercion, predatory economics, strategic extortion, information warfare, and covert action to shift power away from America.

Russia is a credible military and nuclear threat, Maginnis continued, pointing out they have violated the 1987 INF (Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces) Treaty, sent strategic bombers from the Vostok 2018 exercises to the U.S. on practice bombing runs, and under Vladimir Putin have a renewed sense of nationalism. "The want to rise again, they want to be a great power again," he suggested. China, on the other hand, leverages its great economic power against the U.S. by taking jobs, manipulating business, and robbing intellectual property, Maginnis added. "Economics is national security - we can't afford to lose jobs, we can't afford to let our wealth go to China," he said.

The second half of the program was devoted to Open Lines with an emphasis on near death stories. David from Georgia admitted he has been in several near-death motorcycle accidents. The first was in 1979 when he crashed a friend's bike into a culvert, and was sent sailing 68 feet through the air and knocked unconscious. "I started floating up and I saw my body laying in the soybean field I landed in, I saw the roof of a tobacco barn that was in the field, and I saw light and then I woke up in the field paralyzed from the waist down," he recalled. David revealed he eventually regained his ability to walk.

Joe from Monterey, California, talked about his spiritual regression/healing work, in which he gets clients to travel out of their bodies to their past lives. "They're not using their astral body, they're using the soul.. it's a super-conscious mind," he said. According to Joe, his clients can experience crossing over without dying, which is liberating and provides insights into one's purpose for life.

Doug in New Jersey went off-topic and suggested part of the measurable sea level rise can be attributed to water displacement. Numerous things including billions of military and commercial marine vessels, sunken artificial reefs, and underwater volcanic activity are taking up space in the ocean, he explained.
